Inn Love - The Clairmont Series
This series celebrates life and romance in a small community on the coast of Maine. Made up of three stand-alone full-length novels and two stand-alone novellas, these five books celebrate the adventures of romance and the importance of family in the lives of four women. The final novel weaves all of their stories together and adds some satisfying finishing touches. If you like coffee, the beach, fun dialog and just enough romance to make your heart melt a little, then you’ll be right at home in Clairmont. The novels are available in paperback and all five books are available on Amazon Kindle. Happy reading!
Maddy’s Story
Where it all begins ...
Leaving her broken heart behind in Seattle, Maddy Jacobs starts a new life on the coast of Maine. Al-though running a Bed and Breakfast has always been her dream, restoring the sprawling Victorian inn is a massive undertaking. Her contractor, competent, handsome, and built like a Greek god, could be the answer to her prayers. If she can keep her wits about her, she might just survive the summer.
John Fordham has his plate full, raising two young sons and running his renovation business. Restoring the waterfront property for its intriguing new owner will take all of his energy, and, if he’s not careful, it might just take his heart.
a novella
One week to help her remember.
One week to make her smile.
One week to fall in love.
Grace put her heart and soul and everything she owned into her new coffee shop venture. Just when she thought she had it all figured out and knew everyone coming through the doors of her small-town cafe, a handsome stranger walks in and turns her life upside down.
It’s been ten years since Alex last saw Grace. He just needs a few days to help her remember. If she’ll give him a little time, she might just find out that a smile can change everything.
Becky’s Story
A charismatic career woman, a brooding ex-NFL player,
and an all-out battle of the sexes!
When a scandal forces her to rethink her career path, Becky Jacobs finds herself working at her perfect sister's perfect little Bed & Breakfast. To make matters worse, she must cater to the whims of her insufferable houseguest, a brooding ex-NFL player named Tank. The only logical course of action? Swear off men. Forever.
Tank Kimball comes to Clairmont, Maine, to rest and recover from a career-ending injury, but putting up with the feisty innkeeper is hardly restful. Finding common ground between their battles proves challenging, but Tank begins to think that Becky has more power in his recovery than he ever thought possible. Can he convince her to give one more man a chance?
a novella
Liz Michaels is spending the Christmas holiday with her recently engaged daughter.
Christopher Harrison is spending the holiday with his recently engaged son.
Liz and Christopher have one objective - to get their kids to slow down and re-think their engagement.
When their week of planning and scheming is derailed by a chance meeting under the mistletoe at Maddy’s Inn, runaway romance takes on a whole new meaning ...
The Final Chapter
Four friends
Two days
One overcrowded inn.
A wedding at a romantic inn on the coast of Maine sounds idyllic, until you add a cataclysmic blizzard that leaves in-laws snowed in, a groom snowed out, and a pregnant innkeeper unable to deliver.
Someone might get married, someone might indulge in a little subterfuge, and someone might join the party a little early.
It just might happen this weekend.
Children’s Books
Having delighted in reading to my children when they were young, it seemed inevitable that my very artistic son and I would team up to write a children’s book. Our sweet little bedtime story was followed by a book about taking care of the environment, which we wrote with a friend. Both Jacob and Linda Laudone have their own children’s books; see below for more information! All of these books are available in hard copy and Kindle.
Oh, but Mama!" Thomas sighed, "I can't sleep - I really tried! All my friends aren't tired, too. There's a lot we have to do."
Thomas has many compelling reasons to put off sleeping, and each of his bedtime friends can attest to his very thorough care. "One More Thing" is a beautifully illustrated picture book for young children that will put a smile on the faces of all its readers.
How Will You Change the World?
By S. Jane Scheyder and Linda Laudone
"Walk with me," Mama said, "and I will share some
examples of truly remarkable worth.
All through this planet are animal helpers
who each do their part to give back to the earth."
How Will You Change the World? takes readers around the globe, highlighting animals who give back to the environment. Each animal comes from a different continent and has a unique contribution, encouraging readers to consider how they change the world by how they live.
The Other Side of the Pulpit
Should you allow your seven-year-old daughter to build a working lawnmower?
Do cats and dogs really belong in the same house together?
Is breaking and entering your own home really breaking and entering?
These, and other important questions, are answered in this light look at life and child raising from the perspective of the pastor's wife.
My first foray into writing, well, besides the full length Nancy Drew novel that I wrote in seventh grade, was a collection of stories about raising our five children. You know how some moms take pictures of their kids? Well, I write about them. I pulled these stories together into one volume and decided to label it a “how to” book on raising perfect children. Jacob illustrated this one as a teenager. The pictures are priceless!
